We celebrated Little Shawn’s birthday on the 4th. And when you have a birthday in this house, you get a gift to open and your choice of where to eat dinner. We do have a birthday party for the boys but it isn’t until later this month. So here is how we celebrated…..
Opening of a gift that Logan picked out all by himself. I took Logan to Walmart so he could pick out something for Shawn himself. He choose a Star Wars guy.
Then the gift from mom and dad. It is another bow. Now this bow is the one that Little Shawn was saving his money this summer in order to buy at Fletcher's Corner. He had been doing great at saving his money too. He would do things around the house and also help me on Saturday’s cleaning in turn for money to put towards the bow. So far he had saved up over $100. We put it in a trash can because first off, when we have been going to the archery range….aka..Fletcher’s Corner, he had been using it. And Guy….yes that’s his name….that owns the place was in on it too. Guy even told him that he had someone that wanted to buy the bow, so he had to save up his money so he could buy it first. So we put it in the trash can and told him that we got him his own trash can so he could clean up the dog poop. But he was more then thrilled once he opened it up and found what was inside it. He was even more thrilled that now he had over $100 saved that now he could spend!! LOL!
Then dinner was at his favorite place…..Pizza Hut. And this boy can put away some pizza. He can eat an entire medium sized pie by himself.
Then it was home for cake and ice cream. And yes there is an 8 candle on his cake. But he is 9, we just didn’t have a 9 candle.
He also had breakfast in bed which was made by his Dad because his dad was able to take the day off to spend with him doing what ever Shawn wanted to do. What did they do you ask???? Not a thing! LOL! Little Shawn stayed home, watched tv, played video games, and had breakfast in bed.
