January seems to have flown by in the blink of an eye. It seems like we just got over Christmas.
That being said, I have to look back on what we did this month.
The weather has turned colder so we have been getting some use out of our woodstove. Not to mention we and by that I mean I finally got the rock done around it. It was rather tedious since each brick had to be put up individually. But I have to say that I did learn a thing or two about mortar and tiling walls.
Since the weather is getting colder, we have had a decent snow storm or two already. This one from Jan 3rd was a good one. The kids were happy that they cancelled school.
I was able to finally pull out some of my paper crafts and do a few layouts and some cards.
Every year at the end of December I sit down with my calendar and address book and make up my cards for the year. I create address labels and go through my calendar and make sure I have a card for everyone’s birthday.
That is something I learned from my friend Karen. By doing this, it helps me make sure I have a card to mail for friends & family’s birthdays. Not to mention that if I need one for someone that I didn’t already have written in the calendar, they are all ready to go.
So I will leave you with one of my latest cards.
