Well it is official...the kids have 13 days left until school lets out for the summer. Little Shawn is having an Olympic Field Day at school next week which should be fun.
Like I said in my last post....Logan, my baby is going off to school in the fall. I can not believe it. It seems like yesterday that he was this:
little. I can remember it like it was yesterday. But then again I can remember when Little Shawn was this small too. Its a little bittersweet. I know he is excited and I am too, but I am a little sad because it only proves that he is getting bigger faster. I would love to be able to turn back the hands of time to be able to spend more time with Logan. Sometimes I feel like he had been cheated out of our time per say. You see, when he was born was when we were going through hell. I seriously was at the point of packing the car and leaving with Little Shawn and Logan. So instead of holding my precious new baby, I was dealing with a detached husband working 70-80 hrs per week, unruly in-laws and a step daughter that wanted nothing more than to see the boys and I die a miserable death.
But in 2005 we skipped town and never once looked back. And today Logan is this little boy:
So on a positive note....Mariah had her dance recital last weekend, which was wonderful as always!
