Hello All and welcome to the SCRAPBOOK DOODLE 3rd Birthday Blog Hop! I am your second stop on the hop.
So if I am your first stop, then please go to here: JODI'S BLOG and start at the beginning….you wouldn’t want to miss anything!
Now for my project on the blog hop!
Yes I noticed that there is an H missing on the title….Its been fixed. Of course this is the only photo that I have that turned out half was decent. Oh Well…just pretend there is an H there.
Its a layout that I did using some Heidi Swapp Invisibles as a background. I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Concord Grape and Black Soot to color the background. The Invisibles line has a resist on them so once colored, a printed pattern can be seen. Then I staryed it with some Perfect Pearls in a silver color. Just a Nice stuble tint. Then made a few drops of Tim Holtz Alcohol Inks…then realized that they do not stay and ink dots they stread, so I took a paint brush and smeared them around. I then attached a piece of crumpled up packaging paper, which was also distressed a bit. Then I stamped a bit, put on some bling, a photo, the envelope and lastly the title.
I made this layout after seeing a layout that my friend ALECIA had posted. It had a small photo of her husband Brian and herself. One night she had a dream….where the military comes to your door to tell you that your loved one has been killed in the line of duty. Even not being from a military family…it brings tears to my eyes just thinking about something like that. So as ALECIA as my inspiration….I had typed up a letter to my husband in the event I should die. Just a letter that tells him how much he means to me, how much he has always meant to me. You get the idea. So when I was putting the layout together and Shawn saw the letter to him, he asked if he could read it. When I told him no, not until after I die, he kinda looked at me like I had three heads! Then walked away…..I know that this is a subject that he avoids like the plague. He doesn’t want to think about it. Doesn’t want to talk about it. So that was another reason why I wrote the letter.
I am sorry to hit you with my heartbreaking layout. But scrapbooking is about life. The good times, the band times, and the times inbetween. I know that is anything should happen to Shawn, I would love to find something that he wrote to me telling me how much I meant to him….and how much he loves me.
So to cheer you up before sending off I have to i8nclude this photo:
This is Logan doing his impresonation of Achmed from the JEFF DUNHAM show. Don’t they look alike?? What you can’t see….Achmed doesn’t have any skin, so Logan is pulling at his face so his eyes can pop out just like Achmed’s do. You have to check out one of the videos what show Achmed. And them picture Logan trying to fake his accent and say the opening lines of the Achmed act. It is hilarious!
So enough from me! Now that you have stopped by….which I thank you for doing so…. hop on over to the next stop on the blog hop, The ever so wonderful BETTY! Click----> BETTY'S BLOG! Oh and don’t forget to leave her a comment…..she loves comments!
