Its about time…right!!??

Time seems to have just gotten away from me here. My last blog update was April! Its now JULY! HOly heck!

Soccer is over now…..Logan had a blast playing.

Big Shawn had a blast coaching too.

They had a great group of kids. We were able

to win quite a few games too!

 

 

 

 

 

We took the kids down to the bay to watch the sunset while we had ice cream. Logan had been wanting to do watch the sunset for awhile now so the ice cream was an extra bonus!

 

 

Plus it gave them something to occupy themselves with……but that still didn’t stop them from playing!

And this boy here……..

Will be in the 5th grade next year! He will go to a new school…..and will only have two more years before he reached Junior High School! Its a bit frightening! When did my oldest get this old??!! He is still the artistic….and has a wild imagination! He is funny and will make you pee your pants laughing at him! He is ok with being told by his peers that he is weird. He likes being different! He is such a good kid and oh so sweet! Not a single mean bone in this boys body! I love that he is comfortable in his own skin!

This one will be going into First Grade. A new school for him too. His only request was that they keep the same lunches at this school as he had at his old school. {He doesn’t realize that it is the same district…just a different school}.

Logan has had a rough year. It seemed like every other week he was home sick with something….a fever….and ear infection….a virus. I was seriously thinking about putting him into a bubble to send to school. He still loves everything military. He loves building things, playing computer games, and drawing. I am glad to see that he has gotten into drawing. Even if his drawings are of tanks and rockets and AK47s. He had even drew a few things that don’t even exist…..yet. I am sure if I game him free rein in a metal shop that he would be able to build something. He is still the dare-devil…..and loves the water! He keeps trying to coax a grown up into the pool with him so he doesn’t have to wear his floatie. I am sure he will be the one to work with his hands…..build stuff….make things. He has his sweetheart moments, but they are usually when its just the two of us. He likes to tell me that “I am the best mom in the world”….especially when he is wanting a snack. He says……Pretty Please with sugar on top you are the best mom in the whole world. Then he smiles like this:

And you can not say no!

I haven’t had much time to do any layouts or cards. I am trying to get into painting/drawing again…..its a slow start…but it is getting there.

But these are two that I did. The one of Logan I was using up some scraps and stamped the clocks…I tried my hand at stitching on my machine….don’t want to try that anytime soon. LOL! And the one of Shawn was a get my hands dirty layout. I used paint with the square stamp…and the dots with a Heidi Swapp mask. The diamond pattern I sprayed with Scarlet Glimmer Mist and its cut with my Wild Cards Cricut cartridge. The journal spot was also cut with my Cricut too. The title, the date at the top, and the circle are all stickers.
