There is much talk about what next year will bring. As many know December has been a rough month for us. We had to say goodbye to two or our grandfathers. My Grandfather and Shawn’s grandfather.
Both men held importance in our lives.
For me. My grandfather was a man that I was terrified of growing up. But once grown, I respected the hell out of him. My cousin spoke at his funeral earlier this month and she explained him as a man that demanded your attention when he walked into a room. He was funny, but stern. And boy did he adorn my grandmother.
For Shawn, most of his childhood memories had is his grandfather in them. By the time this is posted we will already be in West Virginia at his funeral. I will update once we return.
So as this year is ending, and we are trying to get through our grief. We are also looking to the future.
The new year is still a new start for us. We know what didn’t work for us last year, so this year we will work to change it. And as always, its to spend less, save more, and better ourselves.
