Big Shawn’s Boredom.

_MG_10611

Big Shawn can not handle boredom well.  Not all actually.  So on the 4th while waiting for us to leave to watch the fireworks…. he decided to take the tree down that was between the shed and the house.  The tree that had ruined the room.  In our back yard there are two very large trees on either side.  This one and_MG_10618 another where the kids have a swing hanging from.  The tarp is also covering the kids swing set.  So with these two trees, our back yard was very damp and of course buggy.  During

_MG_10616the summer it is in a constant shade.  Which is nice…if the bugs don’t eat you alive.   So now we have the tree gone. Some extra light in the back yard so it can now dry completely _MG_10614after it rains.  Because the neighbors still have large trees, we still have shade which is great!  Logan was not pleased with the noise the chainsaw makes….so he plugged his ears while Dad cut _MG_10634the tree down.  So now my yard is filled with tree limbs and branches.  The kids think it is a great place to play.   Now if I could only get them to stack the wood so it could be used in the fire pit….that would be a plus!   Big and _MG_10661Little Shawn have been working to get everything cleaned up. Little Shawn was helping his Dad use the wood chipper the other day.  We have already taken some down to the township yard to be made into mulch and compost.

I told Little Shawn  that it needed to be cleaned up before their birthday party next month!   I think that got the pace going!

That looks like it was a lot of work, but well worth doing. I hate bugs! Hey do you have lightning bugs? I remember those and those bugs I liked! :)
