My camera is broken. My third child. My 30th B-day gift. The one gift that I was suprised as hell to get. After 3 years of almost daily use…..it has broken. I am sad. I am also mad because I broke it. I had it in my bag. We were coming back from my mom’s house when my bag, complete with bathing suits (dry ones of course), slipped out of my hand and landed on the ground. And then out rolls my camera. My heart just about stopped….then I cursed up a storm…and got yelled at by my kids. I checked the camera. Everything seemed in working order. It turns on….flash works.. takes photos. I am a bit happier…but still very mad at myself. Then the next day I go to take a photo of a layout that I did and notice there are characters missing off the screen. Oh no! then I go to check the photo that I just took……I can’t preview the photo. I can’t change my settings. I can not even delete photos. So to make a long story short…..my camera had to be shipped out to Canon for repairs. That was July 16th. And I am missing it really badly about now. Right now I have a back up. A point and shoot that is as reliable as the rain. It will turn on when it feels like it. So far, I haven’t been able to turn it on for 4 days. So to make myself feel better…..here is the first photo taken with my camera on 7/22/2006:
Which of course is not a photo that I took. My mom took it when Shawn took it to her house to have it wrapped up for me.

Yes, I have taken over 10, 000 photos since getting that camera almost 3 years ago. I know I have taken more, because I accidently reset the photo counter once.
So PLEASE PLEASE Canon repair center, PLEASE hurry with my camera!

I hope you get your camera back soon, Sherri! I dropped my little point and shoot the other day and did a little damage, but it still works (for now anyways). Hope you are feeling better soon too. :)
