Today is the anniversary of when I got the call stating that I had melanoma.
My first though when they told me was…..what is that?? Skin cancer. I remember the lady on the other end of the phone telling me she was sorry to have to tell me. I remember felling stunned. I was only 29 years old. My oldest was 5 and my youngest was 14 months old. I had called Shawn in tears and he rushed home.

The mole I noticed when I was pregnant with Little Shawn. I had a cousin that is a nurse and she kept telling to get it looked at. It took going to three different doctors for one in NJ to give me a referral to have it checked out.

I had no idea!! Congrats on defeating that nasty disease!!
I am glad you are posting this 5 years later. You are strong and here! It's also a reminder of how serious this is. Maybe for someone who doesn't know what they might have. HUGS!!
