This is Shawn third year playing football.
He is on this years B team, which means that he doesn't play as much as the other kids or prior years. But he is ok with that.
Shawn is not a competitive kid. He is not an aggressive kid.
Shawn is a fun loving, go with the flow kind of kid. He plays football because he can be with his cousin and hang out with a few of his friends. He likes learning the plays and doing the drills.
Before each game, I ask him if he can tell the difference from his team’s colors and the other teams colors because he is partially color blind and has trouble with shades of some colors.
If it were up to Shawn, he wouldn ‘t play football. He would read and draw.
He plays because it makes his Dad happy and it is something they can do together. Shawn loves days when his Dad gets home from work early enough to play catch and show him a few things that the coaches seem to overlook.

Shawn looks good in his uniform!!! At least he is out getting some good exercise and learning about being part of a team. All good life lessons.
